Climate:

Cape Verde is situated in an area exposed to a northeasterly wind and as such enjoys a better climate than other countries in the neighbouring continent on the same latitude.
The islands of Sal and Boa Vista do not have a rainy season, but it rains on the other islands of Cape Verde from August to October.
Rainfalls vary from year to year, island to island and even place to place, though Cape Verde nevertheless enjoys summer weather all year round.

The famous hot winds from the African continent generally reach Cape Verde in January and February.
Cape Verde enjoys a dry, tropical climate. The average temperature is 28°C and because of the presence of the ocean, the range of temperature fluctuation does not exceed 10°C. The sea’s temperature oscillates between 21°C (February and March) and 25°C (September and October).
